Dear Delusional Celebrities,

Is a prerequisite to becoming a celebrity having your mom/dad drop you on your head as a baby? Must be. It's really the only explanation.

You are lucky. gifted. connected. some talented. But by no means does that make the law not apply to you. Did your latest movie contract come with a get out of jail free card? No? Didn't think so.

Everyone's personal choices are their own to make. I'm not perfect. I'm sure there are people out there who don't agree with my choices, and that I may not agree with theirs. But when it comes down to it, for example, smoke all you want, drink excessively, do more lines in a day than you have ever read in a book. I truly hope you get help, but these are your choices.

HOWEVER. When your choices put other innocent lives in danger, here is where I have a problem. I realize accidents happen. mistakes happen. But when you are charged for multiple DUI/DWI incidents, violate parole, etc. etc. these are no accidents. These are incidents where you could have done harm to someone other than yourself. You need help. You need to hire a driver. c'mon you can afford one. What if your sister, brother, or best friend was hit, or god forbid killed, by a driver under the influence? Not so funny anymore, right? What if that driver had a previous DUI on their record? Really not funny. at all.

So to all those Lohans and Hiltons out there, what do you think your punishment should be? What would finally make you realize that you're not above the law? I realize you live a high-pressure life, but the decisions you've made could have resulted in something much much worse. You are lucky. gifted. connected. some talented. But the law DOES apply to you too.

Go to jail, do the time (if even) that everyone who violates parole does. I hope each tear of yours is humbling, and you realize that you need TO GET HELP. yes you. don't put others in danger. and hire a driver.
